Net metering is a billing system that enables customers to their energy costs by returning surplus energy produced by their solar system to the grid.
When a customer's solar system produces more energy than they consume, the surplus energy is returned to the grid. The customer receives credits for this excess energy, which are noted on their electric bill. These credits are automatically applied to the next billing cycle when the customer uses more energy than they generate.
Net metering enables you to reduce your annual energy needs by connecting approved renewable energy systems, such as solar panels, to our grid. Prior to installing a rooftop solar system or producing your own energy, you need to apply to become a net metering customer with us.

Solar Optimizer
The solution for central string inverters
A solar optimizer is a device linked to each solar panel that regulates its voltage for maximum performance, without converting DC power to AC. In contrast, a microinverter converts DC power into AC directly at the panel level, acting as a separate inverter for each solar panel. Therefore, while an optimizer works in conjunction with a central inverter for power management, a microinverter operates independently for each panel.
Optimizers Attached to the back of each solar panel, optimizers track the panel's peak output and regulate voltage. They can: Produce up to 25% more power in shady conditions Minimize the impact of shading on the system Provide individual module reporting Help spot defects and shading issues
